Oxford Shirt + New Hair

Another day, another stolen shirt from a man's closet...not literally.

This fall, I'm moving into oxford shirts because they're so versatile. The fabric has a substantial feel so it's perfect for transitioning into fall. Purchased this shirt at our local Goodwill. My plan that day was to buy anything pink but nothing ultra girly. So my solution, always, go to the men's section. Spotted this pink Land's End oxford shirt & snagged it for $4. (oh yes!)

I wanted to make the shirt feminine but in a badass kind of way so I wore it with my leather mini & pointy heels.

So yes, the hair is a bit different, ye?
I've been one to test out hairstyle all the time. It's something I'm really into whether it be dying it crazy colors or cutting it unexpectedly. This time around, I wanted to do something different without damaging my hair. My inspo is Zoe Kravitz for this one. I've been wanting to do this to my hair for years now but was always worried about what people might think. So well, that's out the door so I decided to do it. I bought 7 packs of Kanekalon hair and took Labor Day weekend to braid my whole head.

Yes, I DID IT MYSELF. No, DON'T TRY IT AT HOME.

I never braided anything in my life so I did a ton of research on YouTube before I made a decision to do it. So there I was, Saturday morning, braiding my life away. 5 movies in & 13 hours later, I'm barely halfway done & at this point, it was too late to turn back. I slept on it then continued on Sunday morning. 2 movies, 1 season of Peaky Blinders & 14 hours later, I was finally done. If you did you math right, yes, that's 27 hours & it's 27 hours well spent. I'm too happy with this hair but I will only keep it on for 3 weeks. My scalp is screaming!
