High Slit Maxi Skirt + Army Jacket

New York weather has been up & down just like my weight, lol! I'm wearing a light jacket again while it was just up in the higher 80-degrees just a couple of days back. I figured I post this outfit now before it gets nauseating seeing somebody wear a jacket in the middle of summer.

What can I say about this outfit other than "yaaas"? Lol!
When we took these photos, I went to 2 events. First one was Angela Roi X ASPCA event & the second was Diane Von Furstenberg's preview of their Zodiac Collection. I knew I wanted to be comfortable without looking like I'm just going to the park.

I usually base my outfit from one statement piece, this powder blue maxi skirt. I ended up wearing another statement piece, which was my favorite button-up top. I didn't stop there, I wore one of my choker designs (available in my store, just saying, lol) which is also a statement piece. Can you tell I don't plan my outfits? To tone down all the stand-out pieces, I decided to wear an oversized military spring coat. I needed to ground the outfit and the only way I know how is to usually wear an item from menswear.
