Workflow with a shift dress

Work, at least my 9-5 job, is not the place where I can be as expressive about my style. Every morning I have to hold myself back and pause to really think about what is work appropriate. I was shocked they let me in the front door when I had blue hair!

This summer, I will make it my business to wear dresses & skirts to work. I'm one to always wear trousers or culottes. They probably think I like to dress like a man, which is somewhat true.
With that said, shift dresses will be my new best friends. The silhouette is very forgiving because it's a straight cut & you can always add a belt if you want to show your figure. I also love that fact that I can dress them up with some sexy heels, wear a pair of demure pumps for work or make it comfy with some sneakers.

The nude pumps makes this striped shift dress work appropriate. And of course I can't make it boring. I had to add a pop of color with my magenta crossbody purse & a pair of massive pink mirrored lens sunnies.
