Maxi vest + bright beanie
There are too many times when I felt defeated but persistence and effort goes a very long way. Looking back to where I was to where I am now, I still can't wrap my head around it. I've accomplished so many things that I never thought possible. I've surrounded myself with like-minded people that I was too shy to meet. These are just simple things but they have impacted my life in a large way. These little victories tell me that I'm not a quitter and it will take a lot for me to give up.

About this outfit....
Whip it, whip it good! Doesn't this beanie remind you of Devo's weird red layered cake-looking hats? I couldn't pass it up when I walked by the men's aisle in JC Penny. I'm not big on bright colors let alone the color orange. I just never saw it as a flattering color but I gave it a shot. It gave my all black outfit some character.
Also, this floor length vest is my new favorite thing. I wear this ish with everything. It's also perfect for festival season. I'd be confident and comfy prancing around the fields with booty shorts, a T-shirt & this vest on top.
