Conservative working environments tend to have strict dress codes. It's no different with my day job. It clearly says "no leather" in the employee handbook BUT for some reason, they allow me to wear these leather trousers. I promise you, I'm not a rebel & I'm not complaining.

When it's not too cold to wear an actual sweater or not too hot to just wear a t-shirt, you know, that transition period between winter and spring, that's when my chambray top comes in. It's the perfect fabric for that 52-degree weather because it's not as think as a regular denim and it's not as thin as a t-shirt. It's also a great way to add color (well, denim wash) to my usually boring black or grey outfits.

Personally, I used to get inspiration from anywhere but now I'm noticing I need so much more. I work in a corporate setting during the day and it's difficult for me to be inspired when all I see are numbers all day. I love my day job but it's important as a designer to surround myself with creative people outside my day job.
